Terms of Service

Last updated: 30 June 2026

These terms govern your use of RisingEdge.pro (the "service"), operated by VANTABYTE LTD, registered in England & Wales (company number 15622244), registered office 20 Wenlock Road, London, England, N1 7GU. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the service. By using it, you confirm that you are.

2. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account. Provide accurate information when registering, and tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised. You may sign up with an email and password or via a supported third-party provider (Google or GitHub).

3. Acceptable use

The service lets you write and run real hardware description language (HDL) code in a sandboxed environment. You agree not to:

  • submit malicious code, malware, or anything intended to harm the service or other users;
  • attempt to break out of, abuse, or overload the execution sandbox, or to mine cryptocurrency or otherwise misuse compute resources;
  • circumvent rate limits, usage limits, access controls, or paid-feature gating;
  • upload unlawful, infringing, or harmful content;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service, its infrastructure, or other accounts.

We run submitted code under strict resource limits and isolation, and we may terminate runs or suspend accounts that breach this section.

4. Subscriptions and payment

The service offers a free tier and a paid Pro subscription (£39/month or £199/year). Payments are processed by Paddle, who act as the merchant of record and seller for your purchase; Paddle's buyer terms also apply at checkout. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time and will keep Pro access until the end of your current billing period. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

5. Intellectual property

The platform, its curriculum, lessons, challenges, and content are owned by VANTABYTE LTD and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use them for your own learning.

You retain ownership of the HDL code you write. By submitting code or challenges, you grant us a licence to host, process, run, and display it as needed to operate the service (including, for challenges you choose to share, making them available to other users).

6. Beta

The service may be offered as a beta. It is provided "as is": features may change, break, or be removed, and we don't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation during this period.

7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud).

Subject to that, VANTABYTE LTD will not be liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of data, or loss of profit, and our total liability arising out of or in connection with the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or £100.

8. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify VANTABYTE LTD against claims arising from your breach of these terms or your misuse of the service.

9. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms. You may stop using the service and close your account at any time by contacting us.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales, and the courts of England & Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer law gives you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.

11. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. We'll change the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, give notice by email or an in-app notice. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
